I had some spare time over the past two days, so I decided to make a dress from a vintage pattern I have, Simplicity 3769. I used some lovely hawaiian - palm tree print poplin and made the sash of a plain drill. I wanted a light, simple summer dress, and also to see if the pattern worked to use for a more expensive project later in the year. This is how it turned out!
The pattern - Mine was a size 14, Bust 34.
I'm really pleased with it! :) And check out my funky retro hairstyle. Pretty nifty for something i did in ten minutes! ;D

Ice cream Playsuit Project
Its Saturday and I think that means it's time for a new sewing project for the weekend.
Being the stupid I am, I forgot to take a picture of the fabric I'm using before I took it to uni and left it there >_<>
Its a fun little playsuit for summer made in a blue ice cream print fabric I bought aaaaaaages ago on sale. I was going to make a dress out of it last year but another girl at uni beat me too it and I didnt want to seem like I was copying.
I dont know whether I want navy or pink binding. At the moment I'm thinking navy. I'll have to draft the pattern myself, but I've already half done that yesterday. Haha. So anyways I hope to have this done by the end of tomorrow, but I also have to have my homework done by then so boooo!
Anyways, blog you later.
